Eye Clinic Liaison
Sight for Surrey’s Eye Clinic Liaison Officer’s primary role is to assist those who have been identified with a visual impairment by the Hospital Eye Clinic to access the extensive range of services offered by Sight for Surrey and other organisations.
While the eye clinics offer excellent clinical care, Sight for Surrey is able to offer further emotional, social and practical support for those with vision impairment.
Currently the ECLO is available at the following hospitals:
- Ashford – Tuesday AM
- Dorking Hub – Second Tuesday of the month
- East Surrey Hospital – Wednesday
- Crawley – First Wednesday of the month
- Godalming Hub – Third Wednesday of the month
- Sutton – Thursday
- Epsom – Friday AM
An additional aspect of the role is to promote the services that Sight for Surrey offers to the ophthalmic consultants and nurses within the eye clinics of Surrey hospitals and making aware of the benefits of referring to us and partner organisations.
A greater awareness of the extensive services offered by Sight for Surrey can significantly enhance the lives of those living with visual impairment by ensuring that support is delivered where and when it is needed most.
