Sight for Surrey’s Employment Group was set up in 2013 to recognise and address members who either require support in the work place or in finding suitable employment in Surrey.
The group supports people of working age with a vision impairment in Surrey who are either in work or who would like to be in work and any young people with a vision impairment coming to the end of their schooling or further education.
David Gold is Sight for Surrey’s Business Ambassador. Mr Gold is chairman of Gold Group International – which includes Ann Summers and has an annual turnover of £150 million – and is joint-Chairman of Premier League football club, West Ham United. He has more than 50 years of business expertise and he will champion mentoring schemes to support people with a vision impairment who are seeking employment.
If you want to become part of the group or wish to support it in any way, or if you wish to help in mentoring schemes or employment advice, please contact Sight for Surrey, tel: 01372 377701.
